The visit reflected the organisations’ shared commitment to the transition to lower carbon heating solutions.

Riello recently welcomed representatives from OFTEC to its Global Burner Headquarters in Legnago, Italy, reinforcing the long-standing relationship between the two organisations and providing an opportunity to discuss the future of the liquid fuel heating sector.
The visit saw OFTEC CEO Paul Rose and Technical Officer Evan Brown meet with members of the Riello team for a series of discussions covering the current and future landscape of the UK and Republic of Ireland liquid fuel markets, the growing role of renewable liquid fuels, upcoming Ecodesign for Energy-related Products (ErP) regulations, and opportunities for continued collaboration between Riello and OFTEC.
As part of the visit, the OFTEC team toured Riello’s state-of-the-art Combustion Research Centre, gaining an insight into the company’s research and development capabilities, EN-certified testing facilities ranging from 10kW to 22MW, and its global training and service operations.
The tour also showcased Riello’s ongoing work with leading boiler manufacturers and its renewable liquid fuel testing programmes, including extensive research into Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) for the UK and Republic of Ireland markets.
Commenting on the visit, Paul Rose, CEO of OFTEC, said: “The visit was both pleasurable and educational. Investment in R&D and production facilities was apparent and there was a clear sense that quality is key. It was also nice to see the vast range of traditional and renewable heating technologies displaying the Riello brand.”
The visit reflects the shared commitment of Riello and OFTEC to supporting the transition towards lower carbon heating solutions, while ensuring the continued development of safe, efficient and reliable technologies for off-grid homes and businesses.
