New on-demand, online heat pump training course released

The ASHP installer on-demand training course is now available on Grant eLearning Academy following a recent update.

Grant UK has updated its online training for installers and heating engineers with the release of a new on-demand course for the Aerona³ R32 air source heat pump range. The course includes the latest product information as well as several new course elements to deliver a more interactive learning experience.

First launched in 2020, the Grant eLearning Academy is a dedicated learning platform for installers, merchants and architects/specifiers, with tailored courses made available to each audience. The course materials include product specific training as well as express courses and webinars on renewable heating systems and legislation. For installers and heating engineers, the on-demand courses for the Grant Aerona³ heat pump range have been reviewed and updated, resulting in the release of a brand new course – the Aerona³ ASHP Installer on-demand course – which is now available to enrol onto and complete.

Replacing the Aerona³ ASHP Advanced Installer on-demand course, the new course has been redesigned to deliver a more engaging learning experience and include the most up to date information.

The course provides an introduction to the Aerona³ R32 air-to-water heat pump models as well as going into in-depth detail about the installation, set-up and servicing procedures for this heat pump range. Some of the course’s new features include content on the Aerona Smart Controller and how it works with the Aerona³ heat pumps as well the latest installation and operating instructions for products designed for installation with the Aerona³ including the Mag One DUO filter and Grant Quick Recovery Pre-Plumbed cylinders.

Designed around installers

Split into twelve modules, the Aerona³ ASHP Installer on-demand course can be started, paused and resumed at any point, allowing installers to complete the course around their work. Each module is designed to be completed in sequential order with short quizzes to support and test the learner’s knowledge. The course also features videos and interactive diagrams which further aid the learning experience. Installers who complete all twelve modules and pass the final assessment will be eligible to apply to become a G1 Installer for Grant Air Source Heat Pumps, accessing a range of benefits through the Scheme including extended guarantees, rewards and merchandise.

“We are pleased to release this new course which delivers the latest online heat pump training for the Grant Aerona³ R32 heat pump range,” comments Phil Stanley, Training Manager at Grant UK. “Installers interested in learning about the Aerona³ can do so either in-person via our 1-day training course or they can complete the online equivalent course in the form of the Aerona³ ASHP Installer on-demand course. With a modular format, which has proven very popular with the Grant Aerona 290 Installer on-demand course which we published earlier this year, this course will be continuously updated to ensure it reflects the latest changes in product development, regulations and legislation.

“We therefore hope the course will be a useful training resource for installers to refer back to whenever they need.”
