Several key changes have been announced at OFTEC, as the industry body continues its efforts to ensure its voice is heard on key policy and industry matters.
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Malcolm Farrow to Director of Marketing and External Affairs, effective 1st October 2025.
In this newly expanded role, Malcolm will lead our lobbying and public relations efforts across the UK and Ireland, working to enhance the organisation’s profile and ensure our voice is heard on key policy and industry matters.
Malcolm has been a vital member of the organisation for many years, bringing a strong commitment to effective communication. His leadership in marketing has helped shape our brand and engagement efforts, and this new position will allow him to build on that success in a broader external affairs capacity.
We’re pleased to announce that Emma Adams has changed from her role at OFTEC, moving from OFTEC Direct to join the Inspection Department as the new Post Inspection Administrator. The change took effect from Monday, 13th October 2025.
Due to retirement, OFTEC is seeking candidates for the internal full-time role of Inspection Services Manager to work in its busy registration services department.
This can be a head office or home-based role as regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland is required to support our network of contracted Regional Inspectors. Inspections are a fundamental part of the Government’s Competent Person Scheme (CPS) and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
OFTEC’s inspection services manager is at the heart of these operations to ensure our regional inspectors oversee compliance with these schemes, and technicians’ work undertaken in homes throughout the UK and Ireland is to the required standard. The remuneration package is commensurate with this role which includes a company car and pension scheme.
