New appointment supports Grant’s growth in renewables

A new Renewables Business Development Manager has been appointed at Grant UK to support renewables business development across Scotland and Northern England.

Grant UK has appointed Richard Moncur as its new Renewables Business Development Manager covering Scotland and Northern England. Richard will be responsible for supporting renewables business development across the region, working closely with developers, social housing providers, installers, contractors and merchant partners to support the transition to low carbon, sustainable home heating.

Richard brings over three decades of experiences across the heating, plumbing and renewable energy sectors. In his role as one of Grant’s Renewables Business Development Managers, Richard will provide tailored heat pump sales and technical support to developers, installers, contractors and merchants delivering projects across new build housing, social housing and local authority sectors.

His appointment further strengthens Grant’s sales support throughout Scotland and Northern England and will see him working alongside the company’s regional sales manager, area sales managers and technical sales support engineer for the region.

Richard started his career through a trainee apprenticeship before progressing into branch, regional and business development roles within the plumbing, heating and renewables sectors. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive technical and commercial experience, working closely with consultants, contractors, installers and distribution partners to support project delivery and long-term business growth. In more recent years, Richard has focused on renewable heating technologies, supporting the specification and adoption of air source heat pumps and hybrid systems across the new build, social housing and retrofit markets, providing practical guidance and technical support to help deliver reliable, efficient low carbon heating solutions.

A focus on renewables

In his new role, Richard will focus on renewables business development, supporting customers with system specification, delivering CPD and heat pump training, and providing tailored support to developers, installers and contractors as they transition to sustainable heating technologies. He will also play an important role in strengthening the company’s presence across Scotland, building on his extensive network and experience to support continued growth in the renewable heating sector.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Grant and contributing to a company that is committed to supplying quality, sustainable heating solutions,” comments Richard. “The heating industry is evolving quickly and I’m looking forward to working closely with customers, installers and partners across Scotland and Northern England, supporting their transition to renewables and helping expand Grant UK’s presence in these key regions.”
