Paul Randall appointed new Inspection services manger

Paul Randall has been welcomed to OFTEC as the newly appointed Inspection Services Manager.

Paul joined the team in May 2026 and will be leading the busy inspection services department, regularly travelling across the UK and Ireland to support our network of contracted regional inspectors.

Paul said: “Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work with engineers, training centres, inspectors, assessors and technical teams across a wide range of sectors and experience levels. Those experiences have reinforced the importance of consistency, competence, standards and professional integrity within our industry.

“I’m looking forward to working with the wider OFTEC team and inspectorate network, supporting continued professional standards and contributing positively to the future development of the sector.”

Inspections are a fundamental part of the Government’s Competent Person Scheme (CPS) and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Paul plays a central role in ensuring our regional inspectors oversee compliance with these schemes, and that technicians’ work in homes meets the required standards.
